Welcome to the Art Blog!
[Ed. Note: Transcribed from an audio recording of Jonas]
I’ve been painting my whole life.
So much happens in the process of creating art. I’m constantly adventuring into the new ways of discovering what life is about, what art is about, how the two merge together.
The process of growing, the process of developing, the process of searching. All of that is a fascinating subject, which is impossible to include on a website. It’s not what the function of a website is intended to do.
So, it was suggested to me to do a blog. Do a blog and share your points of view. Share all of these different things. And, my God, is there so much to share about!
Because I would like you to have a peek into what I think you might be interested in. Into the different aspects of what the art world is about and its functions, its purpose, its ups and downs, certainties, uncertainties, its continuously evolving way of life. I have been kind of blessed and cursed at the same time because I don’t know any other way of living my life. It’s been very, very attractive, and very adventurous. There are so many things perhaps people don’t know about living the life of an artist.
We might give you a peek into these various aspects.
The whole blog idea fascinates me because my staff and I, as well as you readers will be able to share this adventure. The adventures are intriguing that involve the life of making art, the life of an artist, the challenges that we are presented with on a daily basis.
We are not an art gallery or studio that is strictly based on outcome – on the income producing aspect of making art. It’s all about the process. It’s all about expressing through art what life is really all about. We’ll share the ups and downs. The searching, all the adventures. The tidbits of daily life in the studio and gallery.
During my portrait painting period that lasted for 25 years, I experienced many scenarios that make fascinating stories. As a matter of fact, those stories could be fodder for a sitcom.
Another thing that happened way back in my early years -as I was discovering and learning about self-awareness as a way to develop the level of consciousness. How you can discover who you are, what you are, what it’s about for you, how to overcome the blocks. You’ve heard of writer’s blocks? Well, there are painter’s blocks. There’s a lot of that around.
The whole idea of the blog is to show with images, with videos, and with words, what it’s all about. It’s really interesting. Truly speaking, I’m fascinated. We can talk about, if I can say this – well, I’m going to say it anyway – my experiences in jail in the 60’s. I spent one month in jail and it was an amazing experience. One of the most colorful experiences of my life. It wasn’t a bad thing. It was great!

Many years ago my parents purchased one of your acrylics on canvas. I fell in love with it the first time I saw it. When my mom passed away 1 1/2 years ago. I was lucky enough to inherit it. It will hang in a special place in my new house. I hope to acquire at least one more of your works in the future!
