For The Love of Heart

It’s that time of year again- February- and Valentine’s Day is coming- and accompanying these events is the universal symbol of love, the Heart.

Jonas Gerard’s Heart paintings are colorfully symbolic images that touch the human heart and spirit. Whether on canvas or free formed, three-dimensional sculpted Hearts suspended in the air, his brilliant images are painted from the heart, infused with creative inspiration from the ultimate loving Spirit, which is his Source.

With Love # 38, Jonas choreographs constellations of cool, comforting blues, dancing next to hopeful lavender, encountering warm, earthy reds, swinging alongside dark greens, embraced and uplifted by rhythmic gold patterns… defining the edges, as heavenly love taps from a finger imbued with spots of golden sunlight.

His other Hearts, like Heart To Heart appear to be pierced with divine light, radiating from within and receiving light moving through it, just as love and light move through the human heart. Swirling, aspirational, transcendent energies, divinely inspired, move the image through space and time.

Love in Love II, shows Jonas’ virtuoso, energetic brushstrokes and dramatically bold textures, amidst layers of contrasting, intermingled tones, lines, forms and cascading patterns, weaving in and out, connecting two differently sized and colored hearts, as shared experiences weave different souls together in the tapestry of life.

With Love # 37, plum violet shades and purple hues radiate warmth like in Romance #1 returning to the hot reds and yellows of Jonas’ Joie de Vivre.
